This morning as I awakened. I instantly became sad remembering that it was just a week ago that we buried my Aunt. As the tears began to roll down my cheeks. I instantly heard her say to me…
If there is anything to learn from my untimely death is I don’t care how smart you are, how financially stable you are, or how good you’ve been. I need for you to get up, do something, and make a difference.
Stop being afraid to step out on faith and do what you are called to do. Do better, be better than what is expected of you. It’s not always going to be easy. Nothing in this life is.
Make a platform for your life for others to stand on. Leave footprints for those to find their path in life.
If you desire mediocrity, then that’s what you will get. Stop dwelling on the past and what didn’t work and focus on either making it better by redesigning or editing. What once seemed like a good idea may not be what God has for you to do.
Redirection comes from trial and error. And it’s not always for the worst. But it’s during these time where you are able to reevaluate what worked and what didn’t work.
You can start over many times in life. But you can never get a new life after death.
Till we meet again Aunt Constance. I’ll cherish every memory of you and all that you taught me.
