I’ve always claimed to be Realist. Meaning that I am a person who tends to view or represent things as they really are. I keep it real with a realistic approach representing my own self in a straightforward and a matter-of-fact manner that reflects my life as it actually is.

Most people won’t get folks like me, and that is okay. Friends will often make comments to me that “girl you are so funny, girl something is wrong with you, or girl you are sooooo crazy”. Because I am humorous in my approach about life and the situations that may occur. Basically, I KEEP IT REAL.

If my approach to you is funny, crazy or comes across as if there is something wrong me. Then it is what it is. One thing that I will not be is fake or phony.

I will be myself and true to myself at all times, because what you will get is a GENUINE person. Not someone who is pretending to be someone that I’m not, or pretending to like you when I don’t. Those days are gone for me.

I don’t say things because I feel as if I am better than you, and I surely don’t say things because I feel less than you.

I’m that person that will laugh at myself first if I trip and fall, instead of being embarrassed about it. I’m simply being who God has made me to be, and that’s all I can be.

It’s through my trials and tribulations that I have accepted my faults, my wrong doings, my fears, my mistakes, my hurts and my pain.

It’s me not taking life so seriously, and choosing to live it to the fullest and to the best of my ability in spite of what has happened to me.

It’s through my humor that I can let go of my pain. It’s through my laughing that keeps me from crying. It’s through my smile that I’m no longer where I used to be.

It’s through my praise that I am thankful to God, and it’s through my tears that I am joyful that he delivered me.

God chose ME to be ME. Just the same that he chose YOU to be YOU!

As the song Marvin Sapp sings says, “He saw the best in me. When folks wrote me off, God saw the best in me. It doesn’t matter what I did, He only sees me for who I am”.

Therefore, I am his (Gods) BEST, I am REAL, I am TRUE, I am DIVINE, I am a BLESSING, and most of all… I amU.
